The 2019 West Africa Regional Conference will be hosted in Nigeria for the sixth year running, since 2013 when it was first hosted at Nigeria’s premier university, University of Ibadan. It has always been a weekend of inspiring lectures, insightful knowledge, and endless networking in a packed room of pro-liberty students and young professionals from around the world.
Conference attendees hear from top speakers in the freedom movement, network with other pro-liberty students, discover countless opportunities for jobs, internships, conferences and seminars, and have a lot of fun with other students. Also featuring tremendous speakers and panels on the ideas that lead to a free society and the actions necessary to implement them.
Last year, the West African Regional Conference won the 2018 SFL Global Event of the Year. This year’s West African Regional Conference holding Saturday, October 12 at Conference Centre Hall, University of Ibadan, Nigeria will be more amazing, featuring a variety of quality sessions to learn about classical liberal ideas, policy advocacy, business and investment and speed networking.
Discussions will revolve around the recently signed African Continental Free Trade Agreement by Nigerian government, Regional integration, Drug policies, Free Speech, Rule of Law as well as cross – fertilization of ideas that promote freedom, a wider citizen access to information, limited government and shared experiences in growing the liberty network across the West Africa region.
The speakers at the West African Regional Conference find an equilibrium to an ethical commitment to a much freer Africa by advocating for smoother transborder trade, youth engagement in politics, individual pursuit of happiness and the growth of a more inclusive, safe society for everyone.
